Chrissy received her associate degree in Criminal Justice in 2001 and then her paralegal certificate in 2006. She immediately began her legal career as a paralegal for the Department of Social Services handling the serious physical abuses for Charleston County. In March 2012, she entered private practice, joining a family law and criminal defense firm. Four years later, she joined Trip Riesen and Rutledge DuRant in their individual practices handling personal injury, premises liability, and criminal defense cases.
In 2017, upon the founding of Riesen DuRant, LLC, Chrissy joined the team where she serves as the lead paralegal for most of the firm’s civil litigation, to include our focus of personal injury and premises liability cases.
When Chrissy is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, David, and three kids on Johns Island. You can typically expect to find her and her family boating, fishing, or hosting a good party.
